Are you wondering how to get rich pins on Pinterest fast? This post will show you how to get rich pins on Pinterest in five minutes. Oh and it’s for the non techs out there! Yay… No confusing coding words in this guide. Just simplicity at its best.
What are rich pins?
Rich pins refer to Pinterest pins that have your website name and icon displayed underneath the pin image, easily directing users to the pin’s source (you!). These rank higher in Pinterests visual search engine and provide quality backlinks to your website.
Best thing is this will only take you five minutes! So let’s get started Woooooo!
STEP ONE: INSTALL THE “YOAST” SEO PLUGIN
In order to set up rich pins, Pinterest requires you to add certain meta tags to your site. A simply way to do this is to add the Yoast plug in and let it do all the hard work for you! I’m down for working smarter not harder. Once you activate the plug in ensure that the “Advanced settings pages” is “Enabled” and that will enable the metadata. Then we’re on to the next step!
STEP TWO: VISIT THE “RICH PIN VALIDATOR”
Go to Pinterest’s Rich Pin Validator, and plug in a link to any blog post on your site and Click “validate.” Phew that was pretty easy.
STEP THREE: APPLY!
After validating, you should see a message that says “your pin’s been validated!” Then, click “apply now.” A pop up will come up with your website’s domain and “HTML tags” selected. Click “apply now” once again. Congrats, you’re done!
